Akram's Story


At ten years old, Akram Siddeeq (Umm Zakiyyah's brother), was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, the same illness that their younger brother, Qaadir, struggled with until he passed away at 27 years old due to cancer of the gall bladder in 2008.

Today, at 44 years old, Akram's battle continues.

In March 2024 in Atlanta, Akram was taken off the liver transplant list and no hospital would approve the surgery. The doctors said he wouldn't survive the surgery. And they said, without it, he wouldn't survive. So, either way, they his family to prepare for the worst...
